FAST VISUAL IDENTITY & CAMPAIGN DESIGN
WINTER ‘24 - SPRING ‘25

THE COORDINATE MOTIF (34.070309, -118.446747)

My visual direction of FAST’s 2025 Runway Campaign started with a merchandise design that chose allure, typesetting nothing but the coordinates of our runway show’s venue, city, and year. With inspiration from pieces like Acne Studios’ cult-followed STOCKHOLM tee, my design sought to be more than just merch for a UCLA fashion club. As something people would continue to wear after the event, its cultural weight increases as time goes on — a collectible artifact of, “Oh yeah, that was from the 2025 FAST runway.” The back features a work by design team associate, Elsa Jade, that I revised for the garment’s monochrome aesthetic.

Not only bought, worn, and shared by hundreds of people, the motif’s impact extended beyond the garments and became a defining slogan in marketing materials I designed, such as Instagram countdown posts, posters pasted all over UCLA campus, and my Promotional Film with Nike.

GARMNTO SS/25 for FAST’s 2025 Fashion Runway Show. Original Score by Jaden Amiir, Pranav Kidd, Qais Azizi.
I was hired by GARMNTO founder Javid Joda as the visual director for the debut of his first collection, a denim-forward show focused on the process and etymology of garment creation. Through conversation, it was quickly apparent what the runway’s supporting visuals should offer to attendees: engagement with the process and an understanding of how we got here.

A chronological prologue of pre-runway footage in a crescendo to the present, the visualizers feature homemade, rotating 3D models of the very pieces walking down the runway, the equipment used to create the looks, objects of our environment, and the AKAI MPC player involved in the production of the visuals’ supporting original score.

Left to Right: GARMNTO Timbs, JUKI MO-2516N, Commercial Utility Piping, JUKI DDL-8500-7 assembled with components from other machines, JODA Grillz, GARMNTO Cross, Pressure Gauge, AKAI MPC Player
